Bring your sewing machine directly to my Richmond workshop for a comprehensive, hands-on professional evaluation. Because every mechanical issue, vintage casting, and wiring challenge requires a close personal inspection to diagnose accurately, this appointment covers a thorough bench assessment. We will go over the machine's condition together, and you will receive an exact, transparent estimate for the full restoration or service before any work begins.
Bring your vintage machine head, cabinet (if applicable), and all associated parts directly to the workshop for evaluation. As well as all the parts that came with the machine or that you suspect do come with the machine.
Cabinet Restoration
If you would like your wooden sewing machine cabinet or treadle stand restored, we handle everything from start to finish so you only have to talk to me. My woodworking partner determines the project estimate and required deposit amount based on the work needed, and I manage all communication, scheduling, estimates, deposits, and final invoicing for you.
Mechanical, Rewiring & Restoration Details
Mechanics & Rewiring: I handle all internal mechanical rebuilding, timing, and rewiring.
Painting & Decals: My fiancé handles the automotive-grade painting, and I apply the decals. If you choose a custom paint job, we will select an automotive base-coat from the paint shop. If you prefer standard black, the deposit covers the primer, paint, 2K clear coat, and decals (if your model uses them rather than a badge). Everything is buffed out to a high piano shine.
